Established as a Barrett Battery representative in 1975 in Charlotte, NC and incorporated as Industrial Battery & Charger, Inc; this philosophy has proven to be tried and true. Over the past 35 years, we have grown to be the largest independent and family owned distributor of industrial batteries and chargers in the United States. In fact, one of the founders of our company, Terry K. Earnhardt, with over 40 years of experience in the battery industry, still serves as President and CEO. Under his guidance we have grown through the establishment of the following branch operations:

We have long standing relationships with both EnerSys and Douglas Battery, in addition to other industry leading manufacturers, and have been recognized on numerous occasions as Manufacturer’s Representative of the Year.

Through our extensive branch network, we support our customers Motive and Stationary Power needs in Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and the District of Columbia. Approaching 200 employees, we have approximately 100 service technicians, 75 mobile service vehicles and over 50 sales personnel; all with a combined 1500 years of experience. That’s why we are the battery vendor of choice for over 150 of the Fortune 500 companies.
